Photos
of my first clutch of Blue Caps (3 fledgelings): Fledged 3/15/2007.
All were banded at fledging with size C NFSS closed bands.
They were parent raised and the first clutch for these parents
(the parents are also older birds - I have had the father
for many years).

It is hard to get a good shot in the aviary - they are good
at hiding. I found a hole through the foliage to take this
shot.

A rosy rump (top) checks out the new inhabitant.

This is spike. He/she still has pin feathers on the face
and fluff on the head. The silhouette really shows off
the mohawk. See below for a well-lit shot.

All three fledges (and Mom keeping an eye on me)!
